KSFA Doubles League Match 2 Report - 2 Teams Share the Top Spot!
Today the 11th February KSFA fished its Doubles Match 2. This was held at the Corinthia Marina quay. With special thanks to the management for always supporting our Association by issuing their kind permit.
It was a very difficult venue, as one can imagine after the previous days torrential rain and rough seas, the colour of the water was chocolate brown, which any angler would tell you does not make for conductive fishing. But anyway our anglers managed to defy the odds catching some decent fish, mostly fishing the float. In fact a great percentage of the fish caught were mullet and Salp (griewel), the usual bottom fish were few and far between.
In 1st place today we had 2 teams, as these both managed to catch the same weight. Yet again for the 2nd consecutive time we had Jonathan Aquilina and Jason Saliba with 1.76Kgs, with Sandro Cohen and John Azzopardi also landing 1.76Kgs! Having two first places on the podium meant that the 2nd place was dropped in favour of the 3rd spot that went to Brian Farrugia & Jonathan Bonnici, with 1.310Kgs. Section winners were James Gilson and Fortune Calafato, and Jonathan Vella and Joseph Ellul.
